A big Sligo splash for Adam

About 40 swimmers and hoards of spectators braved the elements on Christmas Day and came out to the Beach Bar in Augris for the big splash in the Atlantic for the Adam Kennedy Trust.

The trust is raising funds for medical and learning treatment for Adam, who was born with Achondroplasia, more commonly called dwarfism, which among other issues, meant he suffered from severe hearing difficulties from a young age.

He is the first son of Noel and Valerie Kennedy of Skreen, Co. Sligo, who have worked very hard to address their son’s learning and hearing problems.

The Adam Kennedy Trust was set up by close family friends and respected community members in Sligo and its mission is a simple one: To raise funds and administrate for the ongoing medical and educational needs of Adam Kennedy.
