A Sligo woman has won the Anthony Ryans Best Dressed Lady Competition at the Galway Races yesterday afternoon.
Suzanne McGarry won best dressed at Ballybrit with a red knee-length dress. The vintage 1960s dress also has a high neck that comes to the collar bone, with a small bow at the back.
Her hat is a Lina Stein dome shaped cream and black hat, embellished with pearls and handmade silk roses. She beat off stiff competition from 49 other finalists in the Best Dressed Competition.
Suzanne received a prize of a one carat diamond solitaire pendant valued at €8,500, a shopping spree worth €1500 in Anthony Ryans, Galway and €1000 cash.
Sieglinde Mullers from Galway took home the Anthony Ryan's Best Hat prize, sporting a hat by Galway milliner Edel Ramburg. She was awarded a prize of a shopping spree worth €1500 in Anthony Ryan's Galway. The creation is on a cream and beige base with signature swirl look and orchids infused with crystals.
