SOUNDING BOARD, Sligo LEADER’s music technology summer programme, is now in full swing. Having delivered a series of workshops in North Sligo and Co Fermanagh, activities are now focussing on West and South Sligo.
Activities are for young people living in rural areas, ages 12 to 18. They will include music production, guitar tuition, sound recording, animation, sound track composition and blogging. Young people will work together to produce finished pieces for the programme’s website, www.youthgroupsligo.com and for future public performances. The final day of the summer workshops will close with a performance for family and friends.
Young people are invited from across the CLASP/Ballymote, and Ballisadare / Enniscrone / Easkey areas will team up with young people from Tubbercurry, Gorteen and surrounding area for four days of workshops.
Aug 13 and 14 in St Attracta’s Community College, Tubbercurry then Aug 16 and 17 in Jesus and Mary Secondary School, Enniscrone. Young people will travel between the 2 venues on all four days. Buses will be provided.

Workshops and bus transport between venues are free but please bring packed lunches for the 4 days.
