Sligo outa Lotto luck

SLIGO IS the only county along the three provinces of the western seaboard which will not have any representative in the National Lottery special 25th anniversary giveaway.

The top three prizes will be €250,000 followed by €40,000 and a car worth €35,000.

Each of the 100 finalists who have been invited to the Royal Hospital Kilmamham on Sunday September 16th next will win holidays, cars or cash prizes.

Only three counties will have no representative -- Sligo, Carlow and Westmeath.

A quarter of the competitors will be from Dublin. The next best represented counties are: Cork, Limerick and Kildare.

Entrant were selected at random from members of the public who posted their losing lottery tickets.
