€22,500 announced for Coney Island Sea Defence Wall

Sligo/Nth Leitrim TD Tony Mc Loughlin has been informed by the Minister of State for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht, Dinny Mc Ginley TD that his Department has awarded funding of €22,500 which will fund a sea defence wall and associated works at Coney Island, Sligo.

The total cost of the works is estimated at €30,000 with Sligo Co Council will providing the remaining money.

Deputy Mc Loughlin welcomed the funding and complimented Sligo Co Council for putting forward this worthy project for consideration by Minister Mc Ginley’s department.
