It has been revealed that a 15-year-old Leitrim girl may have tragically took her life because of online bullying.
Gardaí had already launched an investigation following the discovery of her body in a wooded area near her home.
Ciara Pugsley (15) was found on Wednesday night at Killargue, near Dromahair, on the Sligo/Leitrim border, after a small search party was organised by neighbours.
The teenager, who had just completed her Junior Cert examination during the summer, was a student at St Clare's Comprehensive School in Manorhamilton.
A post-mortem was carried out on Thursday.
Social media sites have received hundreds of messages of sympathy.
It is understood that a forensic team are trawling through the teen's online activity and mobile phone records to help the investigating officers firmly establish a motive for the tragedy.
The funeral arrangements confirm the removal today, Saturday, to St. Patrick’s Church, Dromahair, arriving at 6pm.
Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1.30pm, followed by burial in Creevelea Abbey cemetery.
