Eugene Gillespie funeral underway today

The funeral of murder victim, Eugene Gillespie gets underway in Sligo today, Friday.

His remains will be reposing this evening from 6pm to 8.30pm at the  Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in St. Anne's Church tomorrow, Saturday at 12 noon and will be followed by burial in Sligo Cemetery.

A large turnout is expected at both the removal and church.

This evening a limited amount of parking is available in Market Yard with more at the Cathedral.
