Subaru to exhibit EyeSight Driver Assist Technology in five models at Frankfurt show
Subaru Europe, the European subsidiary of Subaru Corporation, announced that it will exhibit the all-new Impreza as European premiere at the 67th Frankfurt International Motor Show on 12 September (Press day: 12 -13 September; Open to the public from 14 to 24 September).
In addition, Subaru introduces first Forester with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology and redesigned Levorg equipped with new safety technologies. This makes now Subaru with 5 cars in the line-up fitted with EyeSight. Subaruís sports sedan WRX STI will be revealed with its refreshed updated looks. The new Subaru XV, unveiled at Geneva and the first model shown in Europe on the new Subaru Global Platform, will also be on display.
Subaruís press conference is scheduled at 9:30 AM (Central European Time) on 12 September.
The special site will open on 12 September after the press conference and will feature information updates relating to the displayed models.
The newly redesigned inside out compact hatch offers Subaruís promise of driving fun, all-around safety and above-average resilience. The new Impreza features the new Subaru global platform. Significant enhancement to the body and chassis rigidity, offering unprecedented levels of driving pleasure, agility, crash protection and ride comfort.
Fitted with Subaruís BOXER engine, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (SAWD) and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology system as standard equipment, the new Impreza is offered in Europe with 2.0-litre 4-cylinder boxer engine direct fuel injection and 1.6-litre 4-cylinder boxer engine*2. A lighter, improved Lineartronic transmission delivers better acceleration performance and sharper dynamic qualities.
The fun-to-drive Subaru XV combines a bold new design with a highly capable chassis for versatility on and off the road. The new platform, together with the Subaru BOXER engine, SAWD and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology offer enhanced driving performance, safety, capability, and ride comfort.
The new Subaru XV will be available in the European markets with an all-new version of the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder boxer engine direct fuel injection and a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder boxer engine. A revised Lineartronic transmission now comes standard with driver-selectable X-Mode to provide even better wheel control on slippery surfaces and steep inclines.
The 2018 Forester is now available with Subaruís highly-rated EyeSight Driver Assist Technology resulting in outstanding preventive safety features. Forester adds to its increased safety package the Side View Monitor, a camera mounted in the passenger side mirror helping the driver to manoeuvre under various situations in poor visibility such as when driving closer to objects.
The 2018 Levorg is equipped with Subaruís latest advanced safety technologies: a Smart Rearview Mirror, Front and Rear View Monitors with cameras projecting the vehicleís front and rear view increasing better visibility to help prevent collisions. Additionally, Levorg is now updated with LED lamps with steering responsive headlights, a feature that lights up corners by automatically directing the headlights to the side in response to steering.
It features a more stylish exterior and interior design. The Levorg blends its unique and distinctive sports touring wagon image with the practicality of a safe family car.
Revamped to enhance overall driving feeling, WRX STI features an improved 6-speed manual transmission and revised Multi-Mode Driver-Controlled Centre Differential (DCCD). The combination of the new Brembo*3 high-performance brakes and cross-drilled rotors offers to the WRX STI a superior fade-resistance and braking performance.
The interior and exterior received a major makeover. The front face was fixed with an updated front grill that increases the WRX STI sporty, aggressive stance.
