Saoirse Ronan, Andrew Scott and Liam Cunningham are among a suite of top Irish acting talent who have thrown their support behind the ‘Together For Yes’ campaign in a video published on the campaign's social media streams today. See video below.
This is the first time that many of those involved have publicly backed the ‘Together for Yes’ campaign.

The video opens with the line, “In Ireland today” and goes on to list the variety of ways in which women are currently affected by the 8th Amendment in this country. It calls for this to change, “for women’s safety, for a just society, for a fairer Ireland”.
The thought-provoking script emphasises that “a yes vote, is a vote for compassion” for the women in our society - be they your sister, your daughter, your mates, your niece, your girlfriend, yourself, your granddaughter, your mother or your wife.
The piece concludes with the uplifting message that “things can change”, with Sherlock actor, Andrew Scott, highlighting that “this is a once in a lifetime vote”, and Saoirse Ronan, asking viewers to “Please Vote Yes” on 25th May.
