At a stylish reception yesterday, Tuesday, hosted by Sligo's Clarion Hotel, the Mayor of Sligo, Cllr Jim McGarry, launching the sale of the coveted tickets told the assembled sponsors and beneficiaries, “On behalf of myself and the Mayor’s Ball Committee I am delighted to officially launch the tickets for the Mayor’s Ball 2010 which will take place here at the Clarion Hotel on Saturday 6th of February."
The Mayor continued, "This year proceeds will go to two local charities- Sligo Cancer Support Centre and the Northwest Hospice. I was invited to visit the Cancer Support Centre in Wine Street and was greatly impressed by the great work Maureen and her team are doing at this centre.
