Donegal man due at Special Criminal Court

A 49-year-old man from Lifford in Co Donegal is to be charged at the Special Criminal Court this morning with membership of a proscribed organisation.

He was arrested on Tuesday night following an incident near Ballybofey in which a number of men that gardaí say were acting suspiciously, fled from a checkpoint.

Searches have been ongoing for the other men who remain at large.
