Tesco has announced the launch of its Tesco for Schools and Clubs 2010 voucher collection scheme, which last year provided €750,000 worth of computer and sports equipment to 1,500 schools and clubs throughout the country.
The scheme offers schools and clubs the opportunity to collect vouchers for a diverse range of sport, educational and creative equipment. Vouchers can be collected in Tesco stores from today (01.03.10) until 9th May 2010. Over the past 12 years, Tesco has delivered over €15million worth of equipment to schools & clubs through its voucher collection schemes. Last year alone, over €750,000 worth of computer and sports equipment was distributed to 1,500 schools and clubs throughout the country.
Commenting at the announcement, Kenny Jacobs, Marketing Director, Tesco Ireland, said: “We are delighted to launch our 2010 Tesco for Schools and Clubs Programme. The scheme is the most successful of its kind in Ireland and is hugely popular with customers, as they get involved to support the local schools and clubs in their communities every year. We expect this year to be the most popular yet with an improved range including sports equipment, arts and crafts and musical accessories.”
To take part, schools and clubs must register*, by simply logging on to
www.tesco.ie. All equipment from this year’s Tesco for Schools & Clubs scheme will be delivered in the Autumn, which will help start the new school year on a positive note.
Tesco for Schools & Clubs was formed last year when Tesco’s previous two successful voucher schemes (The Computer for Schools Scheme and the Sports for Schools Scheme) were combined.
