The Chic Opel ADAM

With the all-new ADAM, Opel is entering the A-segment with a chic, small, urban car.

The Opel ADAM combines bold, powerful design with potential for almost unlimited level of personalisation, making each ADAM unique.

The launch for the ADAM is expected in Ireland in the first quarter of 2013.

The ADAM will feature a host of premium technologies, including an onboard infotainment system that will make online applications available in the car through smartphones such as Android and Apple iOS.

Measuring almost 3.70 metres in length (1.72 metres width excl. mirrors), the agile three-door is perfect for urban environments.

Inside its cabin, the Opel ADAM offers seating for four people, who will benefit from its premium interior, and a high degree of spaciousness, which is unusual for a small car.

The ADAM will target trendy urban customers who are looking for a car that expresses their personal style.

"The new Opel ADAM offers lots of growth potential for our brand and we are very proud that our fashionable small car brings German engineering excellence to its segment," says Opel CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke.

"In fact, the ADAM is the only A-segment car that will be exclusively built in Germany. We are sure that it will get a fantastic reception in Paris at its world premiere in September."

Initially, the Opel ADAM will be offered with three efficient gasoline engines (1.2 70bhp, 1.4 87bhp and 1.4 100bhp), combined with a five-speed manual transmission.
